Contact Centre to be Named Access Richmond
Hill
Town of Richmond Hill Contact Centre to be Named Access Richmond
Hill moving forward with the implementation of the Town’s
Contact Centre, Council approved that it be officially named
Access Richmond Hill.
This name was chosen based on staff input. Functioning as
a combined customer service/call centre, Access Richmond Hill
will handle services requested through telephone, walk-in
or email to provide residents and business with one-stop shopping
for a range of municipal services.
Phase 1 of Access Richmond Hill is anticipated to be operational
in spring 2008 and will be seamless to the public. A formal
launch of Phase 1 services including Finance, Parks, Recreation
and Culture, and Corporate Services Departments is planned
for fall 2008. In 2007, the project achieved key milestones
in its progress through the hiring of a Contact Centre Coordinator,
the purchase of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system,
the detailed design of the Centre and the beginning of its
construction on the north side of the ground floor at the
Town’s municipal offices.

Plan objectives of demonstrating innovative and responsible
municipal management and providing quality service to its
