Town honours senior athletes

Richmond Hill - Ten seniors have been honoured by the town after bringing home medals from the Ontario Senior Games Winterfest.
Held in Brockville in February, the games had more than 2,000 participants competing in winter sports with 34 of them coming from York Region.

Gold was won by Armand Grandinetti, Ursula Lacock, Emilia Negulescu and Monica Leung and silver by Sunny Somayaji and Roberta Simon. Art Chepelsky, Birti Somayaji, Michael Wun and Ricky Tai earned bronze medals.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to them last week by Mayor David Barrow.
