The Liberal
Have your say on town's budget
RICHMOND HILL - Want to know if this year's
Richmond Hill budget is going to hit you in the pocketbook?
Then attend a public meeting and tell politicians what you
think.
Council members are hosting the meeting, before they begin
budget deliberations, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal
offices at 225 East Beaver Creek Rd.
"Improved service levels like the Going Green program
and new facilities like our theatre, a community centre in
Oak Ridges and possible fire station, along with costs for
repair and replacement, will make our job even tougher this
year," Mayor Dave Barrow said.
"But we hope the community will assist us by sharing
their opinions on what matters to them most."
"We know we need to keep tax increases to a reasonable
level, but at the same time we must continue to provide the
services our community needs and wants," Councillor and
budget chairperson Arnie Warner said.
To be sure time is allotted for your presentation, contact
the clerk's office at 905-771-8800 by noon Friday to sign
up.
You can also sign up online at www.richmondhill.ca
under the meetings tab.
If you can't attend, but want to have your say, then submit
comments in writing to clerk Robert Prowse at clerks@richmondhill.ca
or to P.O. Box 300, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4Y5 or by fax to
